Upcoming Events

🎤 Children’s Concert: Inspired by Wonder (Seattle)

Date: November 23 @ 2p

Price: $10-$30

Philharmonia Northwest delivers all the musical magic your kids will actually sit through. You get John Williams’ Harry Potter themes that make every kid instantly believe they’re holding a wand, plus a narrated crash course on every instrument so your child can loudly announce their new favorite in the car ride home.

And yes, there is an instrument petting zoo so prepare for someone in your house to suddenly “need” a viola. Get your tickets!

p.s The 12pm performance has added sensory friendly adjustments like dimmed lights, lighter sound, fewer people, and fidget toys.

🎄 Seattle Festival of Trees (Seattle)

Date: November 17 to December 2

Every year, the Fairmont basically turns into the Festival of Christmas trees. Each one is decked out with its own theme and tells the story of a kid who’s been through more than most adults ever will. You walk through, get hit with that combo of sparkle and soul, and suddenly your holiday stress feels pretty small.

And the best part is the trees raise money for Seattle Children’s Autism Center and Uncompensated Care so the whole thing actually does real good.

Free stuff

🎁 Gingerbread Village (Seattle)

Date: November 20 to January 1

The Sheraton Grand Gingerbread Village is back for the 30th anniversary, and it hits you with that wall of Christmas smell that makes your kids lose their minds on the spot. Architects literally draft blueprints while Sheraton chefs build six foot tall sugar skyscrapers, all to support Breakthrough T1D. The result is a jaw dropping lineup of gingerbread towns and ships that make your own house feel like it needs to try harder. If you want a festive outing that smells amazing and keeps the kids fully mesmerized, this is the one.

🌵 Conservatory Open House (Seattle)

Date: November 21 @ 4:30p - 7p

The annual Friends of the Conservatory open house is finally here and its super duper FREE! Visit at night to see the reveal of their epic winter display.

Get home insurance that protects what you need

Standard home insurance doesn’t cover everything—floods, earthquakes, or coverage for valuable items like jewelry and art often require separate policies or endorsements. Switching over to a more customizable policy ensures you’re paying for what you really need. Use Money’s home insurance tool to find the right coverage for you.

Dining

🍻 Salish Sea Brewing Co & Restaurant (Edmonds)

Salish Sea Brewing is the rare combo of good beer, good food, and kids actually being allowed in the building. Their Boathouse Taproom keeps things fun with trivia and community events, while the downtown Brewpub serves real meals that beat the “nuggets again?” routine.

Families are welcome, kids just stay with their grown-up, and everyone gets fed and entertained.
