🛼 Rock and Roll Roller Rink

Rock and Roll Rink Roller in Issaquah is finally back, it’s basically a time machine with better lighting. You’ve got the disco ball spinning, kids wobbling around like newborn deer on wheels, and music that makes parents low-key happier than the kids. 🪩

It’s cheap entertainment that burns off a shocking amount of kid energy, and honestly, watching a 6 year old attempt the Electric Slide on skates is worth the price of admission alone.

Upcoming Events

😈 Monster Mash Artisan Market (Georgetown)

Date: Oct 11th. 11am - 6pm

The Georgetown Trailer Park Mall Monster Mash Artisan Market is peak Seattle: quirky, artsy, and weird in the best possible way. Imagine shopping out of vintage trailers filled with indie designers, collectors, and artists, then multiply that by 40 when the Monster Mash Market rolls in.

You’ll find everything from spooky goods to vintage treasures to live art shows. And yes, you can even get your tarot read while your kids get their faces painted. It’s not just shopping, it’s an entire vibe!

p.s it’s also pet friendly 🐶

🏴‍☠️ Family Treasure Cruise (South Lake Union)

If Disneyland and “Talk Like a Pirate Day” had a baby, it would be this: the Family Treasure Cruise on Lake Union.

You get on Queen Anne’s Revenge, instantly become a pirate. There’s treasure hunts, water cannons (yes, they actually let kids blast them), and pirate games that make Fortnite look tame.

Couple notes: you can’t bring outside food or birthday cakes unless you book a private charter. So no smuggling cupcakes, matey.

🍣 Salmon SEEson at Issaquah Creek (Issaquah)

Every fall in King County, something wild happens: salmon make the trek back from the ocean to the same streams where they were born. It’s like nature’s version of “going home for the holidays,” except way harder.

The county has this program called Salmon SEEson that basically turns these rivers and creeks into a live documentary. Some spots are self-serve where you just walk up and watch. Others have volunteer guides who point out the salmon, explain their insane life cycle (ocean ➝ river ➝ repeat), and show you what people are doing to keep these habitats alive.

It’s part science, part field trip, part magic show, and it only happens for a few months a year.
