Upcoming Events

🎃 Pumpkin Curling (Northgate)

Date: Oct 26th

Pumpkin Curling: 3:45-4:15pm

Halloween Skate: 4:15-6:00pm

Ages: 4+

Price: $15.86

The annual Kraken Community Iceplex Halloween festivities is back with pumpkin curling (yes, that’s a thing) and a not-so-spooky skate night packed with Halloween bangers the whole family will love. Throw on a costume, hit the ice, and show off your skills for a shot at Kraken game tickets.

Get tickets ASAP, this will definitely sell out.

If you’re looking for a unique Halloween experience, just stop looking…you found it.

🪐 Neptune Theater Tour (U District)

Date: Oct 18 @ 10am to 12pm

Price: free

The Neptune Theatre is a piece of Seattle history that’s been rocking since 1921. From silent films to sold out concerts, this place has seen it all (and probably a few ghosts too).

Here’s the cool part: you can actually tour it for free. Yep. Seattle Theatre Group hosts guided tours every third Saturday of the month. Just show up at 10am out front on the corner of NE 45th and Brooklyn, and one of their volunteer pros will walk you through 90 minutes of stories, secrets, and stage magic.

p.s Perfect for history buffs, theatre nerds, or anyone who likes sneaking backstage

🐶 Corgi Play Party (Magnuson)

Date: Oct 18 @ 2pm

Turns out there is a heaven on earth… It’s called Corgi Play Party at Magnuson!

Bring your stubby superstar to the small dog area (just right of the main gates by the big pavilion) and join the herd for some serious zoomies, ball chasing, and butt-wiggling socializing.

Expect chaos, cuteness, and maybe a few royal level attitudes, it’s basically the Westminster Dog Show if everyone were shaped like a loaf of bread.

Free stuff

⛵️ Public Sail (South Lake Union)

Date: Oct 26 (Halloween Bash) @ 10a

For over 25 years, every month The Center for Wooden Boats volunteers skippers and crew welcome you aboard for quick, unforgettable cruises around Lake Union.

You might end up on a steamboat, schooner, electric boat, or even a vintage yacht. It’s basically a floating grab bag of maritime fun. Bring the kids, grab a life jacket, and let the breeze do the rest.

🚨 p.s: You’ll want to show up pretty early for this! I’ve attended before and folks show up very early with coffees in hand ☕️

🎥 Drive In Movies (Marymoor)

Movie: How to Train Your Dragon (2025)

Date: Oct 23rd @ 5:30p

Turn your car into a private theater under the stars. That’s exactly what Marymoor’s Drive-In Movies pull off. Pop your trunk, lay out blankets, tune the radio, and watch the big screen while mosquitoes (hopefully) chill somewhere else. It’s the kind of date night and kid night mashup everyone thinks about too late, now done right in your own car.

Get tickets soon since these sell out VERY fast.

Price: $47.43

😈 Fright Fest at Wild Waves (Federal Way)

Dates: Oct 3rd to Nov 2nd

Fright Fest at Wild Waves gives you thrill rides by day, haunted attractions by night, and a Halloween mashup so loud it’ll wake up your inner ghost. If your idea of fun is screaming while strapped to a roller coaster with zombies lurking nearby, this is your moment.

3 Tips to Survive & Thrive:

  • Go early: haunt zones and ride lines get bonkers after dark, so slide in before the stampede.

  • Dress in layers: chilly shadows + park energy = fluctuating temps.

  • Grab a VIP Fright Fast Pass: skip lines at your scariest favorite attractions and spend more time screaming, not waiting.

Are you not entertained!?

Dining

☕️ Serendipity Café (Magnolia)

Serendipity Café in Magnolia is one of the most highest recommended dining spots in this newsletter. The food’s homemade, the coffee’s strong, and there’s a play area so your little tornadoes stay entertained while you actually eat hot food. Come for the pancakes, stay for the peace and quiet, it’s basically brunch with a built in babysitter.

Pro tip: the “Magnolia scramble” is egg-cellent, and the play corner? That’s the real game changer👇
