Upcoming Events

☃️ Rainier Ridge at Seattle Children's Museum (Seattle)

Date: Open until Jan 26

Price: $16-$18

Rainier Ridge is Seattle Children’s Museum going full winter wonderland mode. From November 19 to January 26, they basically turn the place into a tiny Mount Rainier, minus the frostbite and questionable parking.

Kids get a sock skating rink where they can spin, slide, and wipe out with zero injury risk. You get s’mores by the fire, cozy storytelling, and a bustling little winter marketplace that feels like the kid-friendly version of a ski lodge. It’s instant holiday magic without leaving the city.

If you need an easy win this winter, Rainier Ridge is the move. It’s festive, fun, and guaranteed to burn at least some of their energy.

Free stuff

🪴 Bellevue Botanical Garden (Bellevue)

Bellevue Botanical Garden: 53 acres of “wow, plants actually can survive here” beauty. Think cultivated gardens, restored woodlands, wetlands, and enough Pacific Northwest flora to make you briefly consider becoming a master gardener.

Perfect for: low-stress family time and getting outside without climbing a mountain.

PLUS they have Garden d’Lights going on until 12/31. A magical wonderland of over half a million sparkling lights in whimsical shapes of plants, flowers, birds, animals, and cascading waterfalls

Paid stuff

🏃‍♂️ Funtastic Playtorium (Alderwood)

Price: $13 - $16

Funtastic Playtorium is all the indoor rainy day fun with a safety net: trampolines, slides, obstacle courses, and a toddler zone where little humans rule. Kids 10 and under can run, jump, and tumble until they collapse, and parents can actually sit and survive. Rainy day? Birthday party? Just need to burn off energy? This place is the answer.

Dining

🌮 Tres Hermanos (Kirkland)

I don’t think a dining spot has come more recommended than Tres Hermanos in Kirkland. It’s bright, kid friendly and incredibly affordable. If you’re looking for some great Mexican dining and good vibes, this MUST be the place.
