👋 Welcome to Kid Friendly Seattle!

School's just around the corner, which makes this the last big summer weekend to go all out and there's a lot of it! Free outdoor movies, block parties, a 1,200-drone Harry Potter show, world festivals, and a farm open day are all on the table.

🚨 Big news: we're now combining Kid Friendly Eastside into Kid Friendly Seattle and covering the whole metro, so you'll see Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, and North Bend woven right in alongside the Seattle and corridor picks.

Bear with me as I get the formatting and delivery perfect for you in the next couple of months!

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

✏️ Hamlin Robinson Preschool (Seattle)

At Hamlin Robinson School, our preschool program gives children ages 3 and 4 a joyful, language-rich start to their learning journey. Through play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships, children build the skills and confidence they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Our experienced educators nurture each child’s curiosity while supporting early literacy, oral language, communication, social-emotional growth, and independence. In a warm and engaging environment, children are known, valued, and encouraged to take risks, make discoveries, and develop strong connections with teachers and classmates.

Rooted in HRS’s deep understanding of how children learn, our preschool program honors individual development and creates a strong foundation for future growth. Families become part of a welcoming community committed to helping every child discover the joy of learning.

Come see what makes an HRS education special from the very beginning.

TOGETHER WITH

🧶 ☕️ Kid Friendly (Seattle)

Crochet Cafe 🧶

You asked, we listened. After so many of you requested a follow up to our first event, we're thrilled to say it's official — round two is here, and it's going to be even cozier. And our subscribers get first dibs

Join us Wednesday, September 2nd at Pacha Collective for a laid-back afternoon of stitching, sipping, and good company. This is a kid-friendly event built for parents and kids: little ones can follow along stitch-by-stitch, or hang out and play with the other kids while you settle in with a warm drink and your yarn. Everyone leaves with their own materials, a project to keep, and a whole lot of good vibes.

How the day works: The Crochet 101 session runs 4:00–5:00 PM, and the space is reserved from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM — so there's no rush. Stay, keep crocheting, chat, and let the kids enjoy each other's company.

Pick your path:

  • Crochet 101 — Brand new? Perfect. You'll learn how to start and how to make single crochet stitches. Materials included, no experience needed must be 8 years or older!

  • The Wooble — Make one of these irresistibly cute beginner kits and walk away with a finished friend.

  • Bring Your Own Crochet (BYOC) — Already have a project going? Bring it and we'll include crochet stitch markers!

All skill levels welcome.

Childcare included! Rosie Pros will be on-site in a dedicated kids area so you can drop off your kiddos while you crochet.

Thank you to our amazing partners Rosie Match and Emerald City Yarn for making this happen!
