🌳 Junior Arborist Summer Camp

Age Range: 5 to 10 years old
Location: Dunn Gardens
Give your kiddo a week in the trees! Blooma's inaugural Junior Arborist Summer Camp invites curious explorers ages 5–10 to dig into nature-based learning at the beautiful Dunn Gardens. From August 10–14, 2026, campers spend their days mostly outdoors discovering the trees and plants of the Pacific Northwest.
Expect leaf art, tree identification, nature walks, climbing arborist demonstrations, indigenous plant knowledge, and plenty of hands-on fun. With a max 5:1 ratio and small group sizes, every camper gets personal attention while connecting with the land and each other.

Ballinger Park kicks off the holiday weekend a day early, running 6–10:30pm with a DJ, pie-eating contests, field games, and nearly a dozen food trucks, capped by a professional fireworks display over Lake Ballinger around 10pm. ⚾ Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays + Friday Night Fireworks (SoDo)

Inside the Pacific Place mall downtown, the Soccer House features a spectacular four-story interior LED screen, interactive activations, and information booths — climate-controlled, indoors, and open daily. 🦛 Moomins at the National Nordic Museum (Ballard)

🎈 West Seattle 4th of July Kids Parade (West Seattle)
A classic neighborhood morning: the Kids Parade steps off at 10am from Sunset Ave and 44th Ave NW with decorated bikes, strollers, scooters, and wagons, ending at the park for games, food trucks, craft booths, and potato sack races. 🎆 Seafair Summer 4th of July (Gas Works & Lake Union Park)
Seattle's marquee fireworks show returns over Lake Union, with festival grounds at Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park from 3–11pm and fireworks around 10:15pm. Gas Works features a kid zone, a vendor marketplace, and all-American games — sack racing, pie-eating contests, and more — plus food trucks at both sites. The big one. ✨ Everett's Fourth of July (Everett)
Everett goes all day — a holiday parade downtown at 11am, then kids' activities, live music, a beer garden, and food trucks at Legion Memorial Park, capped by a 22-minute fireworks show over Port Gardner Bay at 10:30pm. Four free viewing spots (Legion, Grand Avenue Park, Port of Everett, Harborview) all have clear sightlines. 🎆 Kent Fourth of July Splash (Kent)
Lake Meridian Park hosts live music, food trucks, kid activities, and a fireworks show right over the lake from 5–10pm. Free shuttles run from 3pm until the end of the night, which makes the parking situation a non-issue. 🏀 Seattle Storm vs. Portland Fire (Seattle Center)
Not everything on the Fourth has to be a parade or fireworks — the Storm host the expansion Portland Fire at Climate Pledge Arena at 6pm. A loud, fun, family-friendly WNBA atmosphere indoors, and an easy walk to Seattle Center afterward. 🧺 U-District Farmers Market (University District)
The year-round U-District market runs Saturdays 9am–2pm at University Heights (NE 50th St & University Way NE) with around 50 Washington farm vendors, flowers, and prepared food. The Rainiers are home all holiday weekend at Cheney Stadium, and a Sunday afternoon AAA game is one of the best-value family outings in the South Sound — affordable tickets, a grassy berm, kids running the bases on Sundays, and a relaxed small-ballpark feel.
