🎺 Honk! Fest West (Georgetown)

  • Honk! Festival West kicks off the weekend in Georgetown! Four hours of free music, spread across three blocks, indoors and outdoors. So many good restaurants that are literally in between bands. Start your weekend right!

🇬🇷 Bite of Greece (Capitol Hill)

  • The Bite of Greece is a 3-day festival featuring traditional street-style lunch and dinner, handmade Greek pastries, crafts and imported deli items for sale in the marketplace.

  • A Hot Wheels Monster Truck will be rolling into the parking lot across from our main Hoyt Street entrance! Come by for photo ops, giveaways, signed goodies, and a chance to see this larger-than-life truck up close.

  • Open Dance & Play is a fun, free-flowing playtime designed for toddlers and their grown-ups! This open-ended studio time gives little movers the chance to explore the space. Ideal for littles ages 5 and under

🦫 Beaver Night (Rainier Beach)

  • Join us at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands for a night of beavers! Learn educational information about beavers and beaver habitat, have snacks, guided tours to spot beaver activity, and hands-on activities for youth.

  • Celebrate PNB’s Resident Choreographer Jessica Lang with some of her most beloved works. Inspired by legendary American painter Georgia O’Keeffe’s Patio Door series, Her Door to the Sky is one of Lang’s most radiant pieces.

🧺 Madison Park Farmers Market (Madison Park)

  • One of Seattle's most charming neighborhood markets runs every Saturday 10am–2pm along the shores of Lake Washington, with seasonal produce, flowers, baked goods, and local artisans.

🍩 Mighty-O Tour de Donut (Fremont)

  • A family bike ride through Seattle neighborhoods with Mighty-O organic donut checkpoints along the way — yes, really. It's a non-competitive, all-ages ride where kids earn their sweet rewards mile by mile.

🚀 LEGO Artemis Adventure (Seattle Center)

  • Build your own moon habitat and design a Mars rover in the Pacific Science Center's hands-on LEGO space exhibit, inspired by real NASA Artemis mission concepts. Giant LEGO builds and engineering challenges keep kids busy for hours.

  • Regularly recognized as one of the best farmers markets in the U.S., the University District Farmers Market is Seattle’s largest and oldest farm-and-food-only market, founded in 1993. Located between 50th and 52nd Streets on “The Ave” (the colloquial name for University Way), the market has a core group of “lifers” - farmers and food artisans who have been there, if not since the beginning, then darn near that long!

  • Join mechatronics engineer, pilot, and creator Xyla Foxlin for a hands-on workshop where participants will decorate and assemble their own Estes Alpha rocket kit while learning the basics of how rockets work. open to ages 10 and up

  • Price: A Museum Membership or general admission is required to attend + the $15 Workshop ticket

  • School Demos are a true favorite among our friends and families. This informal performance of the syllabus progression of the entire school offers a look into the technique and training methods emphasized and used at ARC. For all ages

Sunday - May 31

👕 Fremont Street Market (Fremont)

  • Step into the heart of Seattle's vibrant, artistic neighborhood, Fremont and experience the magic of the Fremont Sunday Market - Seattle’s oldest Street Market for 36 years!

  • Price: free

  • No charge for the wise and wrinkled! After the third horse race, it's time for the Grandparents Gallop! Watch as they shuffle, sprint, or maybe even moonwalk to the finish line. Trophies await those who manage to cross it without a nap break!

  • Price: $10; ages 12 and younger and grandparents are free

  • Open Play at the Learning Lab is a time for kids (and their grown-ups!) to explore freely. From gem mining at the sluice to digging in our animated sandbox, and rock collections, the lab is full of hands-on stations that spark curiosity.

💦 Liquid Biopsy (U Village)

  • Liquid biopsy is an amazing new technology that can detect tumors at early stages, monitor treatment, and detect a relapse from a blood sample. In this workshop we will leverage a massive cancer database, COSMIC, to develop a PCR assay to detect cancer genes in liquid samples. Ages 12 and older

  • Price: $30

  • Peapod boats are available by walk-up only, first-come first-served, free boat rental is not guaranteed. Ages 8 and older

  • A Puzzle Exchange is a FREE community event for puzzle enthusiasts and hobbyists to trade, exchange, and talk puzzles with one another as well as a space for puzzle-curious folks.

🐳 Orca Fest (Seattle Center)

  • Orca Action Month's big culminating celebration runs 11am–2pm at the KEXP Gathering Space, with live music, face painting, chalk art, button making, and booths from the Whale Scout, Puget Soundkeeper, Seattle Aquarium, and more. Mike, the life-size inflatable orca, will be there

  • Price: free

🕺 Family Social Dance (Puyallup)

  • Enjoy line dancing, music, and a shared meal in a relaxed, welcoming setting. It’s an afternoon of good tunes, good food, and good company; just the way a country social should be. 2pm – 3pm: All Ages / Family Hour. 3pm – 6pm: Ages 14+
